Meet Eva Houston

Eva Houston has been with Kelly's Kitchen almost since the beginning. She came on as Food Security Network Coordinator before the program even launched, helped build it from the ground up, and recently stepped into her well-earned role as FSN Director.

The Food Security Network is our largest program — and it's grown into something remarkable. Over 700 food-oriented organizations across the country are part of this community now. Eva helped make that happen.

She studied natural resources and food systems at the University of Illinois and brings that knowledge to everything she does here. Eva is passionate about disability advocacy and making sure the food security movement includes everyone. That intersection of food justice and disability justice? That's Kelly's Kitchen in a nutshell. And it's Eva.

Oh, and she competed at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games in track and field. Just in case you needed another reason to be impressed.

When she's not changing the national food landscape, Eva enjoys podcasts, writing, and drinking lots and lots of coffee.

We're so glad she's at our table.
