The Marketing and Development VISTA will play a pivotal role in our journey toward growth and empowerment. Their primary focus will be to enhance our marketing and development (fundraising) efforts, forging stronger relationships with stakeholders, and boosting our organizational funding. Your service will directly affect the lives of those we serve, creating a brighter future for our communities. Position Summary: The Marketing and Development VISTA Member will build the capacity of Sustaining Way by helping the organization further develop its marketing and development efforts. Ultimately, the position is aimed at increasing organizational funding and progressing our stakeholder relationships. All efforts will be addressed to serve the historically low-income neighborhoods of Nicholtown, New Washington Heights, and South Spartanburg in S.C.
As a result of the VISTA Members' service, we are expecting to increase
organizational funding by at least 5%.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop systems and processes to increase funding from grants.
Continue maintenance and optimization for tracking grant applications to support and fund the organization's ongoing programs and activities.
Update current individual and corporate fundraising strategies to reflect current donation dynamics and trends, including creating a clear donor journey SOP. (Update current corporate pitch deck with most recent Sustaining Way information).
Develop Google Ad campaigns as part of fundraising campaign strategy, including A/B testing.
Participate in networking activities to meet potential partners or donors in the entrepreneurial community.
Create and implement processes, and train volunteers to utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Partner File to manage community and partner relations more effectively.
Develop a CRM migration plan from the current CRM to the new platform, including identifying new audience segmentations.
Create and disseminate a quartery newsfetter and regular social media posts.
Create and update various printed marketing materials (brochures, fiyers, press releases, etc.), graphics, and other media for social media, events, newsletters, and websites via Canva.
Modify the SW WordPress website as needed in collaboration with the contracted web programmer.

Good organizational and time management skills; proactive and self-motivated Grant Writing & Fundraising Expertise Marketing & Communications Skills
CRM & Data Management Experience
Digital Marketing Proficiency - Experience with Google Ads (including A/B testing), SEO basics, and managing campaigns across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, NextDoor, Reddit, etc.).
Graphic Design & Content Creation
Works well in team environment
